Adazi School of Arts and Music

The Adazi School of Arts and Music is a professionally oriented educational institution, where 12 professionally orientated curricula are implemented:

one in Arts - Visual-Plastic Art section

and 11 sections of Music Education:

• keyboard instruments (piano, accordion);
• stringed instruments (violin, cello, kokle (Latvian national musical instrument), guitar);
• wind instruments (flute, clarinet, saxophone);
• percussion instruments;
• vocal music.

The school aims to create an educational environment, to organize and implement the educational process, which would provide professional course orientation in arts and music curriculum, in order to achieve the established objectives.

Exhibitions of Art Department students' works are organized four times per year, both in local governmental institutions and in enterprises. But students from the Music Department perform at Advent concerts in the Adazi Preschool Educational Institution, Baltezers Church, Baltezers Rehabilitation Centre and the Open-Air Museum. Students of the school participate in various international children and youth drawing contests, as well as in young musicians' contests.
