The Adazi Preschool Educational Institution was established by the local government and is its subordinate comprehensive educational institution for the implementation of preschool curriculum. The objective of the educational institution is to form creative and free-minded individuals, by developing the common abilities of each child, providing a stable ground of knowledge, skills and abilities adequate for a particular age, which ensures a successful continuation of education and prepares children for living in a constantly changing environment.

Nine family-type groups for children of mixed ages (3-7 years) are formed in the educational institution. There are a total of 225 children. One of the groups is for Russian-speaking children. Special, original curriculum is being implemented in the educational institution, which was elaborated, taking into account conditions and situations characteristic of this particular place. The educational process is being mainly applied to older children; however, it stimulates the development of the younger children, as well. Mazā skoliņa (Little School) is formed in this institution, which is visited by five and six year old children in the afternoon. There are two swimming pools in the preschool educational institution and various hobby groups are organized there (English and Latvian language groups, art, show-dance, ensemble Vējupīte, judo).
