Local Government Budget

During the time period from 2005 to 2008, the Adazi Regional Council's fixed budget income increased constantly.

Reasons for such a constant increase in the budget income are both the increase of the population and the increase of the income of this population. Due to these tendencies, the Regional Council is able to put ever larger funds into the organization of infrastructure and the improvement of numerous vital local government functions.

An analysis of budget expenditures shows that, with the increase in income, payments to the Local Government Finance Cohesion Fund (LGFCF) increase as well. Since 2005, the following payments to LGFCF have been performed:

Constantly increasing allocations to LGFCF provide no adequate increase in expenditures for implementation of the Region Development Plan. Taking into account that the volume of income and expenditures (when calculating per one citizen of the region) increase, the local government tries every year to schedule implementation of large scale projects, for instance, by investing significant funds to the reconstruction of educational institutions and other local government objects, by performing, within its limits, repairs of streets and pedestrian roads, as well as by maintaining the housing fund of the region.

The Adazi Regional Council plans to implement several projects in order to improve local government infrastructure, for instance, modernization of the water supply and sewage management system.
