9905 citizens were registered in the Adazi Region on January 1, 2012. According to the collected information, the number of citizens within the territory of the region is constantly increasing.

The data on the natural increase in the Adazi Region show that, within the time period from 2002 to 2011, the number of births was higher than the number of deaths.

Approximately 30 nationalities are represented in the Adazi Region. The majority of them are the Latvians (66%), Russians (17%), Byelorussians (2%) and Ukrainians (2%); however, there are also Poles, Lithuanians, Germans, Tatars and other nationalities living in the region.
